By shutting down the government on October 1st, the Tea Party Republicans will in effect be campaigning for the 2016 Democratic candidate for president.
Obamacare, like it or not, is now the law of the land and the Tea Party Republicans in the House are acting like crazies by holding the country hostage over the Affordable Health Care Act when they know damn well that they do not have the votes to defund or repeal it.
Once government services have been curtailed by the shutdown and investors see their portfolios shrink as the stock market tanks, it will be all Republicans, not just the Tea Party ones, who will be blamed, thus all but assuring the election of Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden or whoever else ends up as the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee.
